Job Overview:

The Site Supervisor (Junior) is tasked to assist the Site Manager with all site requirements and to oversee contractors on our clients sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow Safety Procedures and wear Protective Clothing.
  • Programme plan and utilise resources to ensure maximum output to meet deadlines.
  • Implement drawings and specifications, with guidance from Site Manager.
  • File drawings and record information as per the systems and procedures manual.
  • Set out, with guidance from Site Manager.
  • Ensure Plant and Equipment are correctly applied, serviced and maintained.
  • Maintain SHEQ assurance and compliancy and implement where necessary to ensure legal requirements for Site are met.
  • General Housekeeping to be inspected daily, to maintain a clean, safe, and secure Site.
  • Assign work, ensure materials and equipment are readily available.
  • Inspect progress and ensure adherence to drawings and specification are met and dimensions are accurate.
  • Co-ordinate Sub-Contractor activities and prevent out of sequence works/overlapping of trades in restricted areas.
  • Report breakdowns, stoppages and/or obstructions preventing work to proceed, to Senior Site Manager, and document.
  • Complete a Daily Diary.
  • Monitor and manage performance of subordinates.
  • Mentor Junior Staff.
  • Practice sound labour relations and maintain discipline.
  • Assist Senior Site Manager with regard to grievances and welfare requirements.
  • Ensure compliance to Policies, Procedures and Practices.
  • Motivate and establish a positive work context.
  • Execute any other tasks and activities required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Matric
  • Drivers License
  • 2 - 3 Years as a Site Supervisor
  • Good Communication - Verbal and in writing
  • Be able to manage internal teams and contractors
  • Reading of Architectural Drawings
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the construction industry.
