Reporting to the Group Operations Strategy Manager, this position is responsible for providing effective support to the Operations & Maintenance teams. The role involves applying technical expertise and implementing appropriate actions to ensure efficient maintenance activities and enhance overall plant reliability.

CRITICAL PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Enhance the overall reliability and availability of Operation and Maintenance contracts

• Provide maintenance and equipment expertise

• Analyse equipment failure data and conduct Root Cause Analyses with Maintenance Teams

• Develop and implement procedures and processes to increase reliability

• Understand the cost of equipment maintenance and develop reliable budgets and forecasts

• Participate in design reviews to improve reliability of new plant/equipment

• Participate in HAZOP studies to improve maintainability of plants/equipment

• Track plant maintenance KPIs and use data from CMMS to inform strategies and tactics

• Provide leadership to enhance maintenance activities, strategies, and tactics

• Analyse data to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Maintenance Departments

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Engineering degree (B.Eng Industrial or Mechanical)

• More than 3 years experience as a reliability engineer in an industrial or mining environment

• Experience with water treatment equipment is an advantage

• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and RCM principles

• Experience with CMMS systems, maintenance planning, and data analysis

• Strong computer literacy
