Job Description:
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will work full-time and report to the Senior Partner, with responsibilities including:
- Producing and assisting with the creation of schematic and detailed technical drawings, transitioning from concept designs to detailed sketches and drawings, including architectural, civil, and structural engineering design, design coordination, supervision of works, and measurement.
- Supporting the Civil and Structural Engineering team in delivering optimal design solutions that meet customer satisfaction and align with business goals, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Preparing technical and drawing schedules.
- Conducting building surveys and related fieldwork as assigned.
- Planning and managing the documentation of design work.
- Representing the company in meetings with clients, professionals, and suppliers.
- Ensuring quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle, incorporating client feedback and promoting quality control, while addressing any necessary adjustments.
- Managing and controlling all Civil and Structural Engineering aspects of the projects effectively.
- Ensuring that practices, policies, strategies, and services align with the interests of both the client and the company.
- Coordinating work with project team members, discussing project details such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, and evaluation of field conditions.
- Inspecting project sites and evaluating contractor work to ensure compliance with design specifications, applicable codes, and contract documents, while reporting any challenges encountered to senior staff.
- Assisting with the administrative and organizational aspects of Civil and Structural engineering projects.
- Developing systems and procedures to ensure effective use of CAD, BIM, and other technologies adopted by the company.
- Staying updated on the latest trends and technologies in the industry.
Requirements
- A recognized professional qualification in the field.
- Professional experience with a proven track record in drafting complex and/or large-scale projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of applicable standards, legislation, and practices in the Construction industry.
- Familiarity with hotel, commercial, and residential developments is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Autodesk, Revit, and related software. Knowledge of BIM is considered an asset.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, adapt as needed, and collaborate closely with others in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently.
- A collaborative mindset, focused on achieving immediate requirements while building long-term productive relationships.
