Role Overview:

Our Client is seeking a dynamic IT Manager to oversee and enhance their IT systems. In this pivotal role, you will manage our network infrastructure, ensure secure and reliable client connections, and optimize our AWS cloud-based server platform. Your ability to develop and implement a scalable IT system will be crucial to your success.

This position is a key steppingstone towards the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As our business evolves, you will have the opportunity to transition into the CTO role, taking on broader responsibilities including overseeing all technological needs and driving research and development. This is an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced, technology-driven industry with significant potential for personal and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and foster a culture of teamwork and accountability within the IT department.
  • Supervise, mentor, and upskill a team of IT technicians, including task management and reporting processes.
  • Design, plan, and support network and computing infrastructure, both on-premises and cloud-based.
    • Demonstrate expertise in AWS (Amazon Web Services) is required.
    • Install and configure new hardware, systems, firewalls, and software for networks and servers.
    • Experience with VPNs and IPSec Tunnels is essential.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and analysis of workstations, servers, and network equipment.
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback to senior management.
  • Report directly to the COO and collaborate closely with the Senior Operations team.

Requirements and Expertise:

  • Proven leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork and accountability.
  • Degree or Diploma in IT Networking or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience in IT management.
  • Certification and hands-on experience with AWS or Azure Cloud Platform.
  • Expertise in deploying WAN networks, including VPN, MPLS, and IPSEC tunnels.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage and report effectively.
  • Experience in a start-up or fast-paced environment is advantageous.
