Experience and Skills Required

  • Matric
  • Minimum of 5 years experience calling on independent, used vehicle dealers to sell insurance or related products.
  • Prior knowledge and understanding of the dealer market and industry players.
  • Strong background in customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen dealer relationships.
  • Generate new sales within each client account.
  • Drive area sales and profit plans to meet budgeted targets through effective leadership, organization, customer service, and execution of field strategies across dealerships.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for new business.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients and set clear performance timelines.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to maximize profit through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge and educate customers on available products.
  • Understand and manage the claims process; train workshop staff on procedures.
  • Analyze sales reports and business performance to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Obtain customer feedback by engaging with dealership representatives and observing client interactions.
  • Address underperformance among partner dealers proactively.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely, high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop relationships with potential clients to expand business within the assigned area.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of both own and competitor products.
  • Create and maintain a structured call plan.
  • Educate dealership employees on product features and competitive advantages.
  • Manage dealer sales, claims, and loss ratios.
