Bookkeeper

 Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable (creditors) and accounts receivable (debtors) efficiently.
  • Record, reconcile, and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Prepare regular reports on cash flow, outstanding invoices, and payment schedules.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding financial queries.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Support the finance team with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as needed.

Requirements:

  • Matric certificate is essential.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, specifically in managing creditors and debtors.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Additional bookkeeping or accounting qualifications will be advantageous.
