Bookkeeper
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable (creditors) and accounts receivable (debtors) efficiently.
- Record, reconcile, and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Prepare regular reports on cash flow, outstanding invoices, and payment schedules.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding financial queries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Support the finance team with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as needed.
Requirements:
- Matric certificate is essential.
- 3-5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, specifically in managing creditors and debtors.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Additional bookkeeping or accounting qualifications will be advantageous.
