Landscaping Manager
Job Description:
Position Objective
To ensure and enhance the technical performance and productivity of the Landscape
department according to latest international standards.
Provides Supervisory activities such as assigning work, monitoring, review, provide technical
assistance, training and evaluation the performance of subordinate in a systematic form.
Updates the resources allocation and needs as per the work flow.
Guides and approves the design activities for the discipline engineering works and ensure that
the company quality procedures are followed in the department daily operation.

Landscape Senior project Arch.
Landscape project Arch.
Landscape Arch.
Landscape Design engineer.
Education
Professional Engineer with Master's degree or equivalent in Landscape engineering.
Bachelor of Degree in Landscape Engineering from reputable university with a very
good grade and member of professional body/bodies in Egypt and overseas.
Technical Second language practitioner in addition to English (preferable).
Experience
A minimum of 20 years of Experience in Landscape projects including urban design, softscape,
hardscape design for many types of projects.
Shall be familiar with international design codes, updated design software, Quality policy,
Quality Assurance & Document Control requirements, Contractual & commercial issues,
application of modern design practices, cost estimate, manpower estimation, value
engineering, and Bid evaluation.
Contacts
Contacts with his department members as well as other different department members,
steering management, project managers, clients and vendors as deemed necessary in Cairo
and Jeddah offices.

Responsibilities
Managerial Responsibilities:
Directs, organizes and controls the Landscape engineers and draftsmen to carry out
all Landscape activities including; design, and contract documentation for the
running projects.
Prepares and updates the overall work plan & resources allocation chart of
Landscape Department.
Keeps the staff aware with the Quality policy of the company.
Provides information and/or assistance to project groups as required on Landscape
design matters.
Prepares training programs and trains the department staff to improve their
performance in Landscape analyses and design.
Participates in Landscape engineering societies, committees, conferences and
programs to best reflect the companies' capabilities.
Ensure that all necessary communication related to the projects running with his staff
members, are being effectively accomplished at all levels.
Plans the manpower of the department among the yearly project's needs.
Supervise, schedule, assign, and coordinates or monitors activities of Department
staff.
Ensures proper distribution of assignment and adequate manning for subsequent
performance of duties and to perform the suitable actions to commit to the agreed
submittal dates.
Approves the weekly time sheets, vacation schedules of the staff of Landscape
department.
Responsible for the annual evaluation for his staff members.
Conduct interviews for new incomers.
Acts as company representative in ceremonies.
Advice managerial solutions.
Technical Responsibilities:
Familiar to all projects running by his staff members such as projects components,
time schedules, milestones and design phases.
Verifies that all Landscape designs, drawings and documents are matched with the recent
updated codes and standards and in accordance with municipality regulations.

Approves the conjunction with the SPEs within his Department the design criteria
and basic designs of Landscape Power engineering works to ensure the maximum
quality.
Reviews unusual or complex design problems and provide guidance for the solution
either personally, by subordinate staff, or by outside consultants.
Coordinate with the planning department for the project time schedule as per the
available manpower within the department.
Approves the technical quality of all work performed within the Department.
Attends meetings with authorities to discuss, present the SDC design to obtain their
approval and get the required permit as needed.
Approve the technical specifications and Bill of quantities prior submission.
Ensures that all tasks and submissions with the department followed the Quality
policy of the company and all the staff are aware with it.
Qualifications, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of computer-assisted design software, Microsoft office and autocad is a must.
Comprehensive Knowledge of codes and regulation governing the Landscape works.
Knowledge of modern and complex principles and practices of Landscape engineering in
order to design and design review in its quick and analytical form.
Knowledge of company Quality manual and its application on the operation procedure
within the department and among the staff as well.
Excellent listening with creative problem solving skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent understanding of the organization's goals, plans, objectives and workload priorities.
Skill in preparing and conducting presentations.
Ability to establish and maintain working relations with other Departments/sections,
Managers/Heads, and Subordinates.
Ability to accomplish tasks timely and with minimal supervision.
High English writing skills (must).
