Job Description:
The Technical Office Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating all technical aspects of construction projects to ensure smooth execution from design to delivery. The role includes preparing, reviewing, and updating shop drawings, as-built drawings, material submittals, RFIs, method statements, and technical reports. The engineer performs accurate quantity take-offs, cost comparisons, and BOQ verification to support project budgeting and procurement.
They act as a key link between the technical office, site teams, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring that all work complies with project specifications, codes, and standards. The role also involves following up on project schedules, monitoring progress, ensuring timely approvals, and resolving design or construction conflicts. Strong communication, documentation, and coordination skills are essential, along with proficiency in relevant engineering and CAD/ BIM software.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and revise shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings.

Conduct quantity surveying and verify BOQs for all disciplines.

Prepare material submittals, RFIs, method statements, and technical documentation.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and codes.

Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site teams.

Resolve technical issues and design conflicts promptly.

Support planning, scheduling, and progress reporting.

Follow up on approvals and ensure timely delivery of site requirements.
