We are seeking an experienced project cost manager who will be for managing the cost accounting function related to the projects carried out by the group. They play a crucial role in analyzing and controlling costs, ensuring accurate cost allocation, and providing financial insights to support decision-making. The Cost Accounting Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize costs, improve operational efficiency, and maximize profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze and monitor product costs, manufacturing expenses, and overhead costs.
- Conduct cost variance analysis to identify and explain cost discrepancies.
- Prepare regular cost reports and provide insights on cost trends and performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather cost-related data and validate accuracy.
Cost Allocation and Pricing:
- Develop and implement cost allocation methodologies for products and services.
- Determine appropriate pricing strategies based on cost analysis and market factors.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to establish pricing structures and evaluate profitability.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory costing and valuation processes.
- Ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Perform periodic inventory reconciliations and coordinate physical inventory counts.
- Analyze inventory turnover and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Cost Control and Optimization:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to reduce expenses.
- Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to optimize material costs and supplier relationships.
- Implement cost control measures and monitor their effectiveness.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for process improvements and capital investments.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Prepare cost budgets and forecasts in collaboration with finance and operational teams.
- Monitor and analyze actual costs against budgeted amounts.
- Provide insights on cost implications for budget variances and assist in budget revisions.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and cost accounting principles.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls related to cost accounting processes.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely cost-related information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field required.
- (*) PQE as a a cost accounting manager in the renewable energy field or any related fields.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English.
- Strong understanding of the industry and its unique financial requirements.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems and software (i.e ERP systems, financial modeling tool, excel).
- Knowledge of governmental, fiscal and local laws and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to details and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
