We are looking for a dynamic Communications Associate with a passion for learning and a drive for results. In this role, you will work across a variety of channels. You will be part of the sustainability and communications team and work within the communications function.

The Communications Associate will be supporting in content development, execution of digital communication activities for Africa region. In addition to support in some internal communications. He / she will work closely with the Africa Marketing Communications Manager and Africa Communications Director to support the needs of the business in Africa Market.

The Communications Associate will be primarily focused on content development and execution in for the digital comms activities in Africa region.

The Communications Associate role will require a substantial amount of cross functional cooperation between various departments including rest of Communications team, Marketing, Sales, Technical Service, Processing, and other support functions.

The position will be based in Cairo, Egypt and will report to Africa Communications Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing digital comms plans for Africa, with greater focus business to business communication this includes social and digital media selecting relevant content, following up on agencies, etc.
  • Supporting Egypt market company communications in two areas:
    • External communications activities, including media relations, event planning and execution, supporting with presentation and speeches, crisis comms, agency coordination, etc.
    • Internal communications activities, including message development & channel management as part of the local and regional communications framework, internal messaging and content for internal events and other employee engagement projects as well as quarterly business update videos.

Language and Education:

  • Minimum a bachelors degree in communications, Business, Marketing, or proven experience in communications
  • Fluent English speaker, knowledge of French is a plus

Professional Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant communication experience with knowledge of digital communications framework, tools, and processes
  • Strong proven experience in B2B communication tactics
  • Internal and External Communications experience
  • Thorough experience in working with external agencies on communications planning and execution.
  • Experience in localization of centrally developed campaigns to address local needs would be a plus.
  • Interest and proven ability to innovate in communication tactics, especially using digital channels.
  • Excellent writing, public speaking, and presentation skills
  • Proven experience in digital content development (social media and other digital platforms) experience in digital media buying is a plus.
  • Thorough experience in working with Microsoft Office especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
