Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical engineering tasks for feasibility, concept studies, basic and detailed engineering for the assigned projects.
- Conduct document reviews, prepare Technical Queries (TQs), provide technical inputs, and estimate man-hours for proposals.
- Develop project basis of design, technical queries, andactively participate in data gathering from clients andleading conceptual discussions at the project's inception.
- Lead and participate in conceptual discussions at project inception as a member of the project management.
- Review the design requirements of the project and organize, plan, and lead the mechanical engineering design review.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables are prepared and issued in adherence with project schedules and quality standards.
- Prepare/review the details of Mechanical Engineering and Equipment Layout input to the EPC tender documents, including integration with existing assets.
- Prepare/review the specifications for mechanical discipline general mechanical specifications and all other specifications related to the discipline.
- Carry out site visits to client facilities as required, perform site surveys, data collection, and system adequacy checks.
- Provide site/construction support and resolve site queries. Ensure all mechanical deliverables are issued fully aligned with all other disciplines like process, electrical, civil, and instrumentation.
- Participate in relevant meetings, such as HAZID/HAZOP,Design Reviews, and Model Reviews. Attend meetings with clients, third parties, etc.
- Ensure adherence to ILF Group IMS procedures and guidelines at all times.
Requirments:
- Core competencies of thermal and fluid sciences, using and
advancing analytical approaches to answer key questions about the
performance and architecture of a Thermal Power system or
component. - Experience in technical and financial modelling (CAPEX/OPEX
estimation) with different software packages, . including site studies, plant configuration, conceptual and basic engineering, detail engineering, review engineering, environmental aspects, site
construction, commissioning, and plant performance testing.
Strong analytical skills, proficiency with data analysis tools, and
capabilities in coordination. - Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
Strong engineering, design, and analytical, problem-solving, time
management and prioritization, organization skills, methodical,
focused, and assertive. - Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Travels in Saudi Arabia or abroad may typically be required for short assignments and/or meetings attendance and/or site visits etc.
- At least 10 years of working experience in Power Plant Projects, preferably in the KSA or other GCC countries, would be an advantage.
- Education University degree in Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor)
- Linguistic Skills Excellent command of English. Fluency in other languages (Arabic or French) will be an important advantage.
