Brief Description:

The senior system engineer will work as a member of the Managed Services team and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of different systems administrations. He will work in a mission critical project, which requires support 24 X 7 X 365 and might be assigned as On Call engineer during some months to support Major incidents and changes after working hours. He may work non-standard working hours and more than 8 hours a day. He will interact regularly with Customers and VIP to resolve their incidents and help IT support team when required during his working hours. The candidate will be consulted to run some projects with the customer.


Primarily Skills and experiences:

  • Installation, upgrade, patching, maintenance of Red Hat, Ubuntu and oracle Linux servers.
  • Administrate and maintain the Patch management through native Azure update manager.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning and resource optimization as required.
  • Follow and maintain documentation on established Linux Administration procedures.
  • Review monitor performance, storage, network, and operating system related metrics.
  • Perform regular backup operations.
  • Prepare and perform backup/restore validation plan according to agreed procedures.
  • Managing User and group access management.
  • Review the monitoring thresholds and alerts regularly.
  • LVM and file system administration.
  • Microsoft Systems Administration.
  • Administrate and Manage SCCM solution.
  • Manage Azure Cloud Managed Services, O365 and Citrix DaaS including Access management, conditional access, Defender, Endpoint management.
  • On premises hypervisor management [VMware technology, VXrail].
  • Exchange online.

  • Backup Administration [DELL IDPA, O365 RUBRIC backup, Azure backup]
  • Administrate and maintain the backup solution and its components.
  • Ensure the backup retention policy matches the customer requirements
  • Gather backup requirements and follow the best practices to configure, and test new backups.
  • Troubleshoot backup job failures and propose solutions.
  • Work with Product support vendor for escalating the backup issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation for backup.
  • Performing test restore on quarterly basis to ensure a reliable data backup version is available to restore.
  • Forecast backup repository space requirements to the client for every year
  • Manage licensing and assure notifying the customer early enough for renewal.
  • Microsoft Endpoint Manager/ Mobile Device Manager/Intune
Maintain, administrate and configure the related activities for the below scopes:
  • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
  • Group Policy Analytics
  • IOS/iPadOS management
  • Configuration Profiles
  • M365 Updates
  • Azure Auto Pilot Deployment
  • Apps Deployment

Citrix DaaS management and Administration:

  • Create, administer Virtual Delivery Agents and profile management
  • Administrate Identity Provider
  • Working with Citrix App and Desktop Workloads
  • Manage Citrix Gateway for Secure remote access from any device using global points

Secondary Skills and experiences:

Microsoft Systems Administration

  • Microsoft server 2012R2/2016/etc. management and administration.
  • Perform periodic patch management for all servers in the environment and provide respective reports.
  • On premises hypervisor management [VMware technology].
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning and resource optimization as required.
  • Perform regular Active directory administration as well as ADFS management
  • Antivirus management
  • Administrate and Manage SCCM solution.

Storage Administration

  • Administrate and manage the storage solution
  • Create Raid Group, LUNs/Volumes as per the size requirement from customer
  • Create Zones between Storage array and the hosts on the SAN switches
  • Map the New LUNs to the associated host/host groups
  • Ensure the LUN is visible on the required Hosts
  • Ensure the Multipathing is enabled on the OS end
  • Troubleshoot the alerts from the Storage and other SAN components
  • Coordinate with vendor and plan Storage/SAN Switches FW upgrade on regular basis
  • Gather the new requirements from customer and follow vendor guidelines to Create and Map new LUNs
  • Perform regular storage tasks such as volume expansion, deletionetc.
  • Azure storage account administration and management.

Mandatory Certification requirements:

  • RedHat certified engineer RHCE
  • RED HAT CERTIFIED SPECIALIST IN CONTAINERS
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • VMware Certified Professional
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator

Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate


Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree of information technology is prefer

Soft Skills and Languages:

  • Fluent in English
  • Proven leading experience in the same role.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, will be working remotely with client
  • Ability to convey complex technical information concisely.
  • A high level of motivation in learning new technologies.
