SCOM/SCCM/MECM Engineer


Job Description:

Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and configure MECM infrastructure, including site servers, distribution points, management points, and software update points.
  • Create and maintain MECM packages, applications, and task sequences for software deployment and operating system deployment (OSD).
  • Develop and implement software distribution strategies, including application packaging, testing, and deployment to end-user devices.
  • Manage and maintain software updates using MECM, including deploying patches, creating update groups, and monitoring compliance.
  • Perform MECM client management tasks, including client installation, troubleshooting client issues, and maintaining client health.
  • Configure and manage MECM features, such as hardware/software inventory, reporting, and endpoint protection.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot MECM infrastructure, including component health, replication, content distribution, and client communication.
  • Implement security measures and best practices to protect SCCM infrastructure and ensure data integrity.
  • Stay updated with the latest MECM features, technologies, and security patches, and recommend appropriate upgrades or enhancements.
  • Design, deploy, and configure SCOM infrastructure, including management servers, databases, agents, and reporting
  • Configure and maintain monitoring for critical IT systems and services, including servers, applications, network devices, and cloud environments.
  • Create and manage custom management packs for specialized applications, ensuring comprehensive monitoring coverage.
  • Develop alerting strategies, including setting thresholds, severity levels, and escalation rules for system health and performance.
  • Monitor system health, utilizing SCOM to detect potential issues and proactively address system performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Manage SCOM agents, including deployment, troubleshooting, and ensuring agent communication with management servers.
  • Utilize SCOM reporting and dashboards to provide actionable insights into system performance, availability, and capacity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SCOM infrastructure issues, including agent failures, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity issues.
  • Implement security best practices for securing SCOM infrastructure and ensuring system integrity.
  • Stay updated with the latest SCOM features, patches, and updates, recommending improvements to enhance the monitoring environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience 
  • Excellent English Level
