Job Description:
To create original, strategically sound, visually challenging design work ensuring delivery on brief, on time, and on brand.
Main Duties
- Ensures that appropriate, accurate and visually challenging design of the highest standard is implemented at all times.
- Works with Copywriter to ensure approved copy is accurately translated into design.
- Professional presentation to colleagues and clients of work.
- Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work.
- Working as part of a team with copywriters, photographers, other designers, account management team, web developers and production team.
Creative Awareness and Management
- Understands the creative briefing process and attend all briefs as requested.
- If appropriate, liaises with Account teams to request more information about the brief if felt necessary.
- Judge creative ideas for factual accuracy and relevance to brief.
- Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief.
- If appropriate, assist or present creative concepts to account management or client.
- Coming up with design concepts that fit the client's needs.
- Presenting options and ideas for design treatments.
- Creating final designs, working to a deadline and budget.
- Amending designs according to the clients' final comments.
Production Processes
- Demonstrates a good understanding of print production processes.
- Understands how your designs would appear in the digital format.
- Completes timesheets at the end of each day.
Agency Culture & Knowledge
- Understands the roles and responsibilities of other Agency teams (including Strategic Planning, Digital, PR and Account Management) and manages their involvement appropriately
- Understands Muse as a company and its philosophy; brings the Muse values to life
Qualifications
- A formal Graphic Design / Fine Art qualification
- Understands and articulates all aspects of creative and its link to traditional advertising and digital marketing.
- Excellent graphic design/visual communication skills.
- The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
- Confidence, to present and explain ideas to clients and colleagues.
- The ability to pay attention to detail.
- The ability to balance work on several projects at a time.
- Good teamworking skills & flexibility.
- AI creative tools literacy.
- GCC experience.
