Senior Systems Management Engineer


Job Description:

Expertise in SCOM (System Center Operations Manager):

Advanced proficiency in SCOM (Level 300), demonstrating deep knowledge in monitoring, reporting, and managing system health.

Ability to design, implement, and optimize SCOM environments to ensure maximum efficiency and performance.

Experience in creating and managing custom management packs, alerts, and dashboards.

Proficiency in integrating SCOM with other monitoring tools and ITSM solutions.

Knowledge of advanced capabilities such as monitoring UNIX/Linux systems, network devices, and storage infrastructure

Experience with SCOMHelper PowerShell Module for enhanced administration

Familiarity with building highly effective dashboards and connecting Operations Manager to Azure Monitor

Proficiency in System Center Service Manager:

Advanced expertise in Service Manager (Level 300), with a strong understanding of IT service management processes.

Experience in configuring and customizing Service Manager to meet organizational needs.

Ability to design and implement workflows, templates, and service offerings.

Knowledge of integrating Service Manager with other System Center products and third-party tools.

Experience in deploying and customizing the Self-Service Portal

Proficiency in setting up and configuring email notifications, IT Service Desk console, and reporting mechanisms

Familiarity with the system requirements and scalability guidance for Service Manager

Knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager:

Proficiency in SCCM (Level 200), with the ability to manage software distribution, patch management, and system updates.

Familiarity with SCCM reporting and troubleshooting techniques.

Experience in deploying and managing operating systems and applications using SCCM.

Senior Level Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems management roles, with a focus on Microsoft technologies.

Experience in managing large-scale IT environments and ensuring high availability and performance.

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and networking concepts.

Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting. Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware. 

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 

Certifications:

Relevant Microsoft certifications in System Center products are preferred. ITIL certification is a plus.
