Ecommerce Technical Analyst


Job Description:

Main Job Purpose

Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions. Responsible for analyzing, documenting, and translating business needs into technical specifications and system requirements. Work closely with stakeholders, such as business users, project managers, and developers, to ensure that the proposed technical solutions align with business goals and objectives. Identify opportunities for process improvement, evaluating system capabilities, and recommending appropriate technologies. Enable seamless communication between business and technical teams, contributing to the successful delivery of projects that meet business needs and deliver value to the organization.


Accountabilities

Technical Analyst:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and project teams to gather and understand ecommerce system requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of business needs and objectives.
  • Document and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and system requirements, providing clear guidelines for development teams.
  • Work closely with developers, architects, and designers to create effective technical solutions that meet business requirements, considering scalability, performance, and security aspects.
  • Analyze ecommerce data and trends to provide insights for optimizing product offerings, user experience, and overall ecommerce performance.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the integration of various ecommerce systems and components, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to define test scenarios and ensure that ecommerce systems meet functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Monitor the performance of ecommerce systems, identifying potential issues and recommending solutions to optimize system efficiency.
  • Identify and assess risks related to technical implementation and propose mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical support to business users and project teams during the development, testing, and implementation phases, addressing technical issues and inquiries.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications, user manuals, and system architecture diagrams.
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating clear understanding and alignment.
  • Ensure that ecommerce systems comply with relevant industry standards, security regulations, and data protection policies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

Education

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in eliciting and analyzing business and user requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Solid understanding of both business processes and technical concepts to effectively bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions.
  • Proficiency in system analysis, design, and modeling techniques to create effective technical solutions that meet business needs.
  • Strong data analysis skills to assess data requirements, identify trends, and provide insights for optimizing system performance and user experience.
  • Understanding of SDLC methodologies and processes, such as Agile or Waterfall, to support project planning and execution.
  • Ability to create clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications, data models, and workflow diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues and challenges that arise during project development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders, explaining technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to the industry to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices to contribute to project planning, tracking, and successful execution.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing project requirements, priorities, and emerging technologies in a dynamic business environment.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers.
