  1. Presales Engineer / Presales Consultant:

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Presales Engineer should have a passion for developing solutions in the cloud to provide technical expertise and guidance in identifying client requirements, evaluating these against the client's current infrastructure and system capabilities, and ensuring the proposed services or solutions meet the client's objectives and their cloud application strategy. In addition to being viewed as a trusted technical advisor to the client, the Presales Engineer is also responsible for solution delivery oversight.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of cloud applications and architecture, including migrations from on-prem.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for public cloud (AWS, Google, Azure), VMware cloud solutions, and cloud migration technology domains.
  • Articulate the journey towards microservices, Containers, Kubernetes, or service fabric.
  • Keep current with trends and technological innovations in the cloud services industry and make appropriate development recommendations.
  • Lead the technical presales activities, including solution design, migration strategies, client workshops, and RFP responses.
  • Ability to develop business cases and demonstrate ROI for proposed initiatives
  • Translate between business problems and technology solutions.
  • Be the technical lead that supports the sales life-cycle from qualification through the contract and participates in customer meetings, proposal development, and transition to the implementation team.
  • Managed services experience.
  • Conduct technical reviews of existing client solutions to determine future mapping to managed solutions.
  • Engage with the key stakeholders to understand the product portfolio and upcoming feature enhancements.
  • Work with customers and sales team to understand our customer's needs.
  • Craft end-to-end solutions comprised of the product portfolio and 3rd party elements and own the technical and interface designs.
  • Be responsible for identifying, mitigating, and documenting technical solution risks, capturing technical solution costs, and creating solution documentation that meets customer, contract, and deployment requirements.
  • Work with the client and internal team to identify the future needs to align with managed services.
  • Develop long-term technology road maps for client solutions.
  • Formulate criteria and execute proof-of-concept projects for new approaches and platforms.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent attitude; self-motivated and principled problem solver. Willing to own a problem and see it through to resolution.
  • Strong general knowledge of IP networking architecture, protocols, and security is highly desirable.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in information technology, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft Certified Solution Architect: Cloud Platform (MCSA)
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
