IT Manager – (Cairo & Suez Sites)
Reporting Line: Regional IT Manager
Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead and coordinate all IT operations across Mondi Egypts two manufacturing sites (Cairo & Suez). The role is responsible for ensuring stable, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure and systems in alignment with Mondi Group standards and regional IT governance.
The IT Manager will act as the local IT lead, partnering closely with Regional IT and HQ teams to deliver business continuity, cybersecurity compliance, and digital initiatives supporting manufacturing, finance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations across both Egypt sites, ensuring high system availability and performance
- Ensure compliance with Mondi Group IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and governance frameworks
- Act as primary liaison between Mondi Egypt and Regional / Group IT teams
- Manage local IT infrastructure including networks, servers, user devices, printers, shopfloor systems, and connectivity
- Support and coordinate SAP and business systems (e.g., SAP FI/CO, MM, PP modules) in collaboration with Regional IT
- Ensure data security, backup integrity, disaster recovery readiness, and business continuity planning
- Supervise local IT support resources and external service providers
- Lead local IT projects including system upgrades, hardware refresh, digitalization initiatives, and plant automation support
- Monitor and control IT-related costs in alignment with approved budgets
- Identify system risks, vulnerabilities, or inefficiencies and implement timely corrective actions
- Support end-users across finance, production, supply chain, and administrative functions
Requirements & Skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) – frequent communication with Regional and HQ IT teams
- Proven experience as an IT Manager, IT Supervisor, or Senior IT Specialist in a manufacturing or multinational environment
- Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, cybersecurity standards, and IT governance
- Experience working within corporate IT frameworks (preferably in a matrix reporting structure)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Computer networks and network administration
- Server management and virtualization
- Data backup and recovery systems
- Microsoft environments and enterprise systems
- Exposure to SAP environments is a strong advantage
- Ability to manage external vendors and service providers
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
