Accounting Assistant
Job Description:
This job role is responsible for tracking and reporting the value of company assets, commonly work with a team of other accountants, auditors, and financial professionals to ensure that all relevant information is properly recorded and maintained. And this role is responsible to be tasked with assisting in developing or implementing policies related to fixed asset management which include creating guidelines for when new assets should be purchased, how they should be depreciated over time, etc.
- Support to produce the monthly consolidated Management Information Pack.
- Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.
- Provide ad-hoc management reports.
- Provide variance analysis and commentary in support of the MI Pack, incorporating notes and updates as directed.
- Continually adapt and improve management reports as agreed with Head of Reporting and Planning or Chief Financial Officer.
- Consolidate annual budget, including long-term cash flow planning and rolling business plan/forecast information for subsequent years.
- Participate financial modelling, business plan assessment and analysis on potential investment.
- Analyze financial data – and create financial models for decision support.
- Increase productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements.
- Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Perform data mining and data cleansing.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neede.
- Back up support to immediate supervisor/manager, and
- Other ad hoc duties as prescribed by the Senior Finance Team to assist in achieving Finance Functions objectives.
