Credit Control Manager

 Job Description:

The role holder is responsible for underwriting new corporate loan cases and performing credit control to existing ones. The ideal candidate is expected to analyse resolve operational issues with counterparties. He/She is also responsible for providing customers with adequate information about the banks products/services, and for retaining and cross-selling to customers.

Underwriting

  • Act as key credit underwriter evaluating and determining credit worthiness of applicants.
  • Structure credit facilities, perform credit assessment, cash flow projections and loan documentations.
  • Work with clients to truly understand their business needs and determine risk involved in extending credit, propose mitigations that will reduce the Banks risk while meeting clients business requirements.
  • Keep abreast with Banks latest Corp. products to ensure customers know about latest credit products.
  • Liaising with internal department such as Credit Risk, CAD, Legal to address their credit concerns, ensure documentations are in order.

Credit Control

  • Ensuring compliance with lending protocols and guidelines.
  • Liaising between RMs, internal departments and clients to keep all documentations are updated, loan covenants and conditions are fully met.
  • Prepare Credit Report on the ongoing lending cases on monthly basis to keep RMs informed.
  • Perform proactive credit analysis based on clients monthly financial and portfolio data, to detect early warning signals, and take necessary actions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Finance, Economics or other business management discipline.
  • Attention to details
  • Research and Analysis skills
  • Advance Excel skills preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player with ability to coordinate with product partners and support functions.
  • Able to handle complex client relationships independently.
  • Strong understanding of various financial market.
  • Efficient execution of assignments within a short time frame.
  • Business-level English (written and spoken).
  • 2-3 years of experience working in a similar role in a Bank.
  • Strategic relationship development and credit analysis/loan structuring experience.
