Senior Project Manager
Job Description:
The role holder is responsible to participate in the entire project management cycle from planning, coordination with relevant stakeholders, execution and validation. The role holder is to manage organization of in house development projects as well as insourcing/outsourcing projects. To be successful as a Technical Project Manager you must be highly organized and able to multitask successfully under pressure.
- Work on detailed requirement gathering, analysis, planning, develop all technical requirements documents and other related management
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with management, project sponsors, product owners, architects, consultants and other stakeholders
- Make clear plans on what, when and how the project goals have to be achieved
- Develop and document the Solution and Interfaces Design
- Manage all levels of service delivery which includes design, analysis, testing and setting up of solutions
- Effectively communicate expectations to project team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion, continuously manage objectives, and hold project team members accountable for delivery
- Manage the relationship with client, vendors and partners
- Identify and manage project dependencies, critical path items, and project risks.
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Provide technical advice and to facilitate between technical and business teams.
- Work together with internal teams to develop SOWs that are in line with business/technical requirements
- Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; developers, product owners, third parties/vendors and subject matter experts
- Work closely with technical leaders on the delivery team, understands/facilitates technical discussions with the team and supports.
- Collaborate in system testing whenever it is necessary to achieve the bank's objectives.
- Manage a few projects in a fast-paced working environment parallelly.
- Need to work a minimum of one year.
- Two months' notice is required to submit a resignation.
Job Requirements
- Possess at least Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (or) Equivalent degree in IT field.
- Equivalent degrees in Project/Business Management (optional)
- Three to five years of relevant project management experience in a Technology/IT environment running projects in a complex, multi-site environment with cross functional teams
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Practical knowledge of both agile and non-agile project methodologies.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Experience managing projects that are software/application development.
- Prior experience in the financial, banking & insurance industry is an added advantage
- Prior experience in a multinational and culturally diverse environment is an added advantage
- JIRA experience is useful.
