HR Business Partner

 Job Description:

This role holder is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated Businesses and Functions. The position serves as a consultant to management and the first point of contact for the business for all human resource-related issues. This role holder will also form partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

The role holder is also responsible for supporting the bank's strategies and initiatives to provide an effective and engaging digital customer onboarding experience, expand the agent and merchant networks, and drive the usage of mobile and digital applications, to achieve economic and social development in Myanmar through nation-wide financial inclusion.

  • Support and work closely with the Head HRBP for effective implementation of HR policies, and procedures to support the businesses and contribute to the overall bank strategy of driving nationwide financial inclusion;
  • Support the Head of HRBP in formulating HR objectives and strategies to support the various business plans and targets. Accountable for the successful implementation of these strategies;
  • Advise and guide business leaders in building deep engagement with their staff to enhance motivation and performance;
  • Support the Head HRBP for implementation of hiring and talent acquisition objectives and strategies, manage the implementation of these strategies and the end-to-end recruitment process;
  • Manage implementation of performance and potential management according to Board approved policies, frameworks, and processes. Manage the facilitation of ranking sessions to support business leaders in ensuring objective and equitable assessments of performance and potential;
  • Advise business leaders on the career development of their staff and manage the deployment of staff for career development, meet business requirements, and build capabilities for managing the business in the short and longer terms;
  • Manage the facilitation of succession planning sessions together with business leaders to build a strong pipeline of specialists and leaders for maintaining the company as the industry leader;
  • Work with other HR Business Partners to support the development of a strong pipeline of potential leaders in the Bank;
  • Ensure that all job descriptions are accurate, current, and fully documented and that the latest Job Descriptions are used for recruitment and hiring. The role holder is also to ensure departmental compliance with the Job Descriptions;
  • Work closely with VC and the functions for the 8 Qtr. budget, manpower planning, and the organization's structural alignment;
  • Ensure all information, policies, and guidelines set by management are reached to the employees timely and correctly through various channels of communication;
  • Ensure timely report submission to Head HRBP and Business partners (upon request) related to business status, potential risks/ challenges, and proposed solutions;
  • Work closely with respective VC/Functions and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention;
  • Responsible for strength-based assessment for bank-wide critical roles and for some special projects to support business in order to get more insight on the person's strengths & development in line with management & business needs;
  • Employee relation, grievance handling, and complaint management;
  • Act as a focal person and fully support all requested/ requirements (Data, Reference, Analysis, and Measurements) between COE and Value Center/ Functions;
  • In addition to the primary responsibilities, the role holder will also be responsible for the other tasks assigned as the needs arise.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree with additional professional qualification in HR
  • Able to support business leaders in proactively identifying HR issues and recommending action plans and solutions.
  • 5 to 8 years of HR experience in large companies, preferably in the banking sector or emerging markets.
  • Performed the role of HR business partner and has a good working knowledge of recruitment, HR policies & processes, performance management, and career development.
