Family Lawyer / Fee Earner
Location: Gloucester
Salary: £45,000 £50,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time | Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:00pm
A respected and forward-thinking law firm based in Gloucester is currently seeking an experienced Family Law Fee Earner to join its growing team. The Role
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of private family law matters from instruction through to conclusion. Key responsibilities will include:
- Handling cases involving divorce, separation, and child arrangements
- Managing financial remedy proceedings, including division of assets and spousal maintenance
- Drafting pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, and advising on disputes
- Dealing with non-molestation and occupation orders
- Conducting legal research and keeping abreast of relevant legislative developments
- Drafting legal documents, statements, applications, and court bundles
- Preparing for and, where appropriate, attending court hearings
- Providing clear, empathetic legal advice to clients
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues and contributing to the wider success of the firm
- Supporting business development and marketing initiatives as required
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified and experienced Family Lawyer, Solicitor, or Chartered Legal Executive
- Have demonstrable experience managing a caseload independently
- Possess particular expertise in financial aspects of family law (essential)
- Be commercially astute with a problem-solving mindset
- Exhibit excellent communication and client care skills
- Be a strong team player who thrives in a supportive, friendly environment
- Be ambitious and open to future progression towards partnership
