Your Mission
As a Post-Exchange Conveyancing Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless conveyancing service. Launched in late 2022, their CLC-regulated conveyancing business is already making waves, and they are looking for someone just as determined to help drive positive change.
Youll provide high-quality support to the team, ensuring clients receive the best experience possible during their property transactions. Your proactive approach will be essential in managing workloads efficiently, meeting regulatory standards, and contributing to the company's mission of revolutionising home-buying.
Your Role
- As a Post-Exchange Conveyancing Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Sending confirmation of exchange to all relevant parties.
- Preparing files for completion, agreeing on completion statements, and arranging funds transfers.
- Managing tasks such as submitting SDLT returns, arranging payments, and preparing AP1s for lodging at the Land Registry.
- Addressing requisitions from HMLR within deadlines and handling legal charge discharges.
- Coordinating with landlords, management companies, and accounts departments for Notices of Transfer and Charge, Certificates of Compliance, and outstanding balances.
- Supporting conveyancing teams in resolving outstanding queries promptly.
- Maintaining orderly files and ensuring tasks are completed promptly and efficiently.
What Were Looking For
- Have at least one year of experience as a legal assistant in a busy conveyancing practice.
- Understand the stages of a conveyancing transaction.
- Are highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Possess excellent administrative and communication skills.
- Are tech-savvy and comfortable working in a paperless office using case management systems.
- Are proactive, self-driven, and eager to contribute to meaningful change in the conveyancing sector.
