About the Role: As a Sous Chef, you'll be the right hand to the Head Chef, helping to craft and deliver an exceptional menu using locally sourced, high-quality ingredients. You'll ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintain high standards of food hygiene, and mentor junior staff. About the Client: Our client runs a beautifully refurbished Grade II listed pub set in the picturesque village of Heckfield. Working Hours:
5-day working week
Rota shifts with split shifts
Key Duties:
Assist in menu planning and development
Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards
Manage kitchen staff and oversee operations in the Head Chef’s absence
Maintain kitchen hygiene and safety standards
Collaborate with local suppliers
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef
Strong leadership and communication skills
Passion for using fresh, local ingredients
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
