We're on the lookout for a talented mechanic whos ready to take on an essential role in maintaining a fleet of 3.5-7.5 tonne vehicles. About the Role

In this role, you'll carry out routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across a fleet, ensuring each vehicle stays safe, roadworthy, and ready for service. You'll be working on a rolling rota across two sites, giving you a mix of hands-on tasks both in the workshop and directly at customer depots. Week one involves early defect inspections and minor repairs before returning to the workshop for more comprehensive maintenance tasks. During week two, youll kick off in the workshop and wrap up with on-site support at a clients location in the evenings. Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 7 am - 4 pm or 12.00 pm -21.00 pm

  • Location flexibility: Role is split across two sites based in Handcross and Crawley

Key Duties

  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and MOT prep on fleet vehicles

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, ensuring minimum vehicle downtime

  • Perform preventative maintenance to enhance vehicle performance and lifespan

  • Maintain accurate records of all completed work

  • Collaborate with team members on complex repairs and troubleshooting

  • Follow strict safety protocols at all times

Key Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in vehicle maintenance

  • Solid experience in vehicle mechanics, including engine, transmission, and diagnostic skills

  • Uk drivers license

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
