Senior Accountant
Location: Epsom
Hybrid 2-3 days per week in the office (08:00 - 16:30)
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000

They are looking to hire a Senior Accountant (Hybrid Basis Offices in Epsom) to play a key role in delivering expert financial services and strategic advisory support to their clients.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and VAT submissions.
Advise clients on tax planning, financial strategy, and business growth.
Manage payroll and auto-enrolment services for small businesses.
Produce quarterly management accounts with detailed analysis and forecasting.
Handle HMRC and Companies House correspondence on behalf of clients.
Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and tax regulations.
Support business clients with cost-reduction strategies and financial efficiencies.
Leverage Xero and cloud-based tools to optimise accounting processes.
Provide ongoing email and phone support to clients, offering proactive financial insights.
Mentor junior team members as the practice continues to expand.
Requirements
Degree in Accounting & Finance or a related field (beneficial, but not essential).
Pursuing an academic qualification in accounting.
4 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations, payroll, and VAT.
Experience using Xero or other cloud accounting software.
Excellent communication and client advisory skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.
