About the Role

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a diverse fleet of construction machinery, including Bobcat, Hitachi, Thwaites, Manitou, Kobelco, and Kubota equipment. Your role will involve diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine inspections, and ensuring all machinery operates efficiently and safely. This position requires a proactive approach to equipment upkeep, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

Working on Site as well as on the road in this position.

Key Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing on a variety of construction machinery, including Bobcat, Hitachi, Thwaites, Manitou, Kobelco, and Kubota equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently to minimise downtime.

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and effectively, adhering to all relevant safety standards and regulations.

  • Respond promptly to on-site breakdowns and provide timely solutions to keep operations running smoothly.

  • Completing paperwork following maintenance activities.


Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, focusing on heavy plant machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

  • Valid UK driver's licence.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
