Mobile Plant Fitter
£20-£23 per hour
Workshop based in Sittingbourne, Mobile work predominantly in the South East of England
Van, fuel card and tablet provided

About the Role:
In this role, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of mobile plant machinery. Working across various sites, you'll ensure that all equipment is in top condition and ready to perform. From diagnostics to full overhauls, you'll have the opportunity to use your technical expertise to keep operations running smoothly. With a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency, your work will be critical in ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM are the usual workshop hours
40 hour week contract for the Mobile Fitter position
Overtime available
Nights away, varied shifts, and weekend work can be common in this role and will be paid for time and a half.
Key Duties:
Plant service, maintenance, and repair on varied equipment from pavers to excavators and rail plant
Diagnostic and electrical repairs
Installation and maintenance of plant safety equipment, including cameras, height and slew restrictors, RCI's, proximity detection, and remote Deadman systems
Rail shift cover
Work both on-site and in workshops based in Sittingbourne, Kent when required
Key Requirements:
Experience in light and heavy plant maintenance, service, and repair
Experience with plant electrics and diagnostics
Experience with hydraulic systems and hydraulic hose assembly
Ability to think for themselves and overcome issues intuitively
NVQ Level 2 minimum
PTS (Personal Track Safety)
RPA ( Preferred)
CSCS (essential)
Full UK driving licence
These are preferred but not essential as training can and will be given.
