Field Service Engineer

£30,000 - £35,000 (Depending on experience)

Field-based Manchester and Surrounding areas

Were looking for a Field Service Engineer with a solid engineering background (mechanical or electrical) and experience working on medical or mobility equipment. If you're someone who likes a job with variety, works well on your own, and is confident dealing with people face-to-face, this could be a good fit.

About the Role

You'll travel from home to different sites, servicing and repairing equipment like hoists, hospital beds, baths, patient couches, dental chairs, and wheelchairs. You'll also carry out inspections, respond to breakdowns, and fit spare parts when needed.

You'll be given a van stocked with commonly used parts and expected to manage your own day, keeping in touch with the office when needed. Most of the work is done on-site at hospitals, care homes, specialist schools, and similar places.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday 
  • 8-4 working hours ( Flexible)
  • No Weekend Work

Key Duties

  • Service and repair a wide range of medical and mobility equipment
  • Carry out LOLER inspections
  • Diagnose faults and fit replacement parts
  • Respond to breakdowns and urgent issues

What You'll Need

  • Experience in a similar field-based service role
  • Mechanical or electrical engineering background
  • Full UK driving licence
