I'm currently working with the brilliant team at one of Londons most loved independent café groups, to find an exceptional Venue Manager for one of their top-performing locations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a customer service-focused, commercially minded leader, someone who thrives in a fast-paced, premium café or restaurant setting and is passionate about delivering consistently high standards of food, service, and most importantly coffee.

The Role

This isnt your average café manager job. The site currently turns over £1 million annually, and the goal is to scale that to £1.5 million. To achieve that, we need someone proactive, sharp, and ready to take ownership of the full operation from the customer journey to the P&L.

As Venue Manager, youll lead a team of talented baristas and front-of-house staff, manage day-to-day operations, and play a vital role in driving sales and delivering the kind of guest experience that keeps people coming back.

Key Details

  • Basic Salary: £36,000£38,000

  • OTE: £45,000£47,000 (realistic and achievable)

  • Bonus: £5,000 post-probation bonus if KPIs are met (probation = 3 months)

  • Hours: Core hours are 7:30am4:00pm, with flexibility required

  • Location: Balham

What Were Looking For

  • A strong background in high-quality cafés or restaurants, ideally with experience running a busy site or a senior leadership role.

  • Someone hands-on with coffee, youll need to know your flat whites from your filters and be able to lead by example on the machine.

  • A genuine passion for customer service, this role is all about hospitality, community, and creating experiences people love.

  • Commercially switched-on: You understand how to hit targets, drive spend-per-head, and manage a P&L.

  • A natural leader: You know how to build, coach, and inspire teams.

  • A calm, proactive problem-solver who thrives on getting stuck in and making things happen.

Why Apply?

This isnt just another café brand, theyre known for quality, community, and culture. With Antipodean roots and a loyal following, theyve built a reputation for excellence in both coffee and food. Youll be joining a team that values initiative, personality, and performance and rewards you accordingly.

Next Steps

If youre ready to take on a senior role with room for growth, where your leadership and coffee know-how can truly make an impact - lets talk. This is a rare opportunity to join a successful and growing independent group with great culture, autonomy, and reward.
