Machinist / Program Operator
Salary: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour DOE

About the Role

Youll be responsible for machining high-quality components using Fanuc-controlled 5-axis lathes and milling machines. From programming and setting to final inspection, youll play a hands-on role in producing parts to exacting standards. Every day will bring something new whether its working with different materials, problem-solving complex setups, or fine-tuning programs for the perfect finish.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
  • £16 - £20 per hour DOE
  • 28 days holiday
  • Ongoing training

Key Duties

  • Setting, operating, and programming CNC machines (Fanuc controls)
  • Working across milling, turning, and 5-axis machining
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Conducting quality checks to ensure high precision and finish
  • Maintaining machinery and a safe, clean work environment

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Machinist or CNC Programmer/Operator
  • Skilled in steel machining, setting, and programming
  • Experience working with Fanuc and 5-axis lathes
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
  • Team player with a proactive and professional approach
