We’re looking for a skilled Chef who loves the craft of honest cooking someone who takes pride in preparing good food, made well, and enjoys the energy of a busy kitchen. If you’re passionate about producing quality dishes in a warm, country pub setting, this could be the role for you.
About the Role
You’ll join a small, close-knit kitchen team delivering a seasonal menu built around fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The focus is on flavour and consistency classic dishes prepared with care and presented beautifully. From prepping ingredients to service and plating, you’ll have the chance to put your own stamp on each dish while maintaining the high standards guests expect.

Our client is a well-loved countryside pub offering relaxed dining with a genuine local feel. They’ve built their reputation on creating memorable experiences from Sunday lunches to special celebrations all set in a warm, inviting space where good food and good company come together. The kitchen plays a big part in that, and the team takes pride in every plate that leaves it.
Working Hours
5 days per week (including weekends and evenings).
Key Duties
Preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard using fresh ingredients.
Supporting menu development and seasonal specials.
Ensuring all food is served consistently and presented attractively.
Maintaining a clean, organised workstation and adhering to food safety standards.
Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
Key Requirements
Previous experience as a Chef in a pub or restaurant setting.
A passion for fresh, seasonal cooking.
Ability to stay calm under pressure during busy service.
Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation.
Flexibility to work a mixture of shifts including weekends.
