About the Role
Youll be carrying out a mix of servicing, inspections, fault-finding, and repair work on a range of vehicles all within a well-equipped workshop. Alongside your usual day-to-day technician duties, youll be supported through full MOT tester training, giving you the chance to develop your skills and gain a recognised qualification.
The role suits someone who enjoys variety, works neatly, and communicates clearly. Youll also play a part in keeping the workshop running smoothly, maintaining accurate records, and delivering work to a consistent standard.

Our client is a long-established independent garage based in Lincoln, known locally for their honesty, technical capability, and the quality of their workmanship. They handle MOTs (Class 4 and 7), general repairs, diagnostics, and regular servicing for a broad customer base.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 08:30 17:00
Saturdays: 1 in every 3, 08:30 13:00
Key Duties
Carry out vehicle servicing, repairs, and diagnostic work
Support the workshop with inspections and pre-MOT preparation
Maintain clear, accurate job documentation and follow workshop processes
Work closely with colleagues to organise repairs, workflow, and customer jobs
Keep tools, equipment, and the working environment in good order
Once qualified, perform MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
Key Requirements
Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician
Interest in becoming a qualified MOT Tester (training provided)
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
Good communication and consistent attention to detail
Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
