Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities The primary responsibilities of a safety officer in the oil and gas industry include:
- Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure that safety measures are in place and properly maintained.
- Investigating accidents and incidents to determine their root causes, and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Providing safety training for employees, including hazard recognition, safe work practices, and emergency response procedures.
- Ensuring that all personnel wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety protocols.
- Coordinating with management, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to address safety concerns and improve overall safety performance.
- Maintaining accurate records of safety-related activities, such as inspections, incident reports, and employee training.
Job Requirements:
- Should have a bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, engineering, or a related field.
- Must have NEBOSH IGC.
- Should have 3-4 years exp in the O&G industry.
