Involve was founded by IIT Graduates Divanshu & Samyak, who left their placements to build their dream. Through Involve, we are re-imagining education by building agency in school students, targeting 1 million students in the next 5 years. We do that by leveraging a peer learning-teaching-based approach. The approach emanates from our belief in "Kids first" and our key design principles: Co-created with students, Led by the students & participation by choice.

So far, we have directly worked with 22000+ students across India, improving their learning outcomes (39% from the baseline to Endline, maths) and the sense of ownership & leadership with our programs. Our core program of Peer Teaching has students in their formative years of age of 12-16 teacher and mentor their juniors in public schools. We have also seen great improvement in the learning culture of the school, teenage behavior, etc. We are backed by some prominent institutions like the Central Square Foundation, Nudge foundation for social entrepreneurship, Wells Fargo, TFIx to name a few.

Overview of the Role:

You will manage end-to-end implementation of our Program towards Student Agency in the district, starting with planning & implementing the Peer based program (around Foundational literacy and numeracy & project based learning ) in all blocks through working with Block resource centers to ensure successful program outcomes for all the students. You will be a part of the team which lays the foundation for the scale of Involve. This will include the following:

1. Implementation

  • Understanding existing structures for different aspect of the program for ease of implementation

  • Training of District, Block, and cluster resource centers on different aspects of Student Agency and project based learning.

  • Regular interaction with all the stakeholders, visiting blocks and schools regularly to ensure the quality of the program on ground and understanding the implementation gaps

  • Identifying the needs on the ground and designing/creating programs aligning to Involves vision with the support of Program Design team.

  • Leading strategic planning, goal setting and intervention by unblocking bottlenecks, advocating with relevant stakeholders and strong implementation focus for successful project delivery.

2. Manage relationships:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with relevant district and block-level officials (DM, DEO, DPOs, DIET Principal, Block Education Officers ).

  • Engaging DEO, DIET, and other govt. Officials by regularly reporting, initiating formal/informal conversations and co-creating action plans with them.

  • Identifying other CSOs aimed at addressing pressing needs at the school site.

3. Documenting and reporting

  • Leading efforts to document and report progress & program gaps/challenges every month.

  • Adapting tools or surveys to evaluate, collect data and document stakeholder (BACs, CACs, teachers, students) response to intervention.

  • Analyzing feedback from District , Block , and schools to improve the effectiveness of the program and implementation continually

  • Creating monthly reports for funders (some part of the report) and govt stakeholders

Apply If you have

  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in the education sector & managing a team

  • Education: An undergraduate degree in any stream is a must; a masters degree is a plus

  • Skills: Should be a good planner and a go-getter; Should be good with on-ground work; okay to commute long distances on certain days; be patient with the outcomes; getting things done by leveraging relationships; Clear understanding of thoughts while making any decision and excellent communication skills

  • Should have a strong sense of data collection, data analysis, knowledge of statistics and be able to set structures for operational data

  • Strong work Ethics: Punctuality, Sense of environment, self-driven;

  • Interests: Passionate about education; enjoys mentoring and working with school kids.

Location: Varanasi - UP (Should be fluent in Hindi, both verbal and reading)
This role is an onsite role which requires frequent travels to schools, gov offices and other stakeholder spaces.

Compensation: INR 4 - 5 LPA CTC (Negotiable based on experience & fit)
