Asst. Technical Service Manager

 Job Description:

THE ROLE

Provide a highly competent level of technical services to buyers/customers, ensure business development, new sales oppertunities and premiumization through various technical services activities such as seminars, trials, recommendation & thread cost comparison analysis etc.

The position will be responsible for creating positive images of products, demonstrating value adding advantages of product to the customers and delivering high quality technical services to customers leading to increased product efficiency and reduced wastage.

MAIN DUTIES:

1. Achieve company's sales plan & deliver profitable sales growth through Technical Service

· Retain the existing business in maintenance brands & vendors through technical initiatives & co-ordination with GA & sales team

· Promote Company's products & services to gain new or incremental business in assinged startegic brands/vendors

· Improve Gross margin through mix improvement driven by upgradation or product mix through technical selling

· Asist Sales/GA team in new pipeline generation through various seminar, marketing or on site campaign

2. Value generation through Technical Services

· Plan & implement full range of Technical Services footprint in assigned strategic vendors to ensure business continuity.

· Improve our customers' productivity and offer cost effective solutions to our customers based on our technical expertise.

· Organizing and conducting seminars for brands and vendors with a view to create positive product image in terms of quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness.

· Illustrating the characteristics and merits of products and better combination of fabrics, machines, needles and other equipment's to manufacturers.

· Handling post sales maintenance & upgrade activities and ensure that any problems are resolved within standard time allotted for the nature of a complaint.

· Help to optimize customers operation through productivity enhancement research and surveys.

· Help customers where required with troubleshooting services.

3. Account Management (Brand and Vendor)

· Maintain close business relationship with various key contacts of assigned Brands/Vendors.

· Plan & implement various technical tools and activities by aligning Sales/GA team aiming to achieve account centric company target.

· Identify new leads/opportunity & escalate through proper channel to convert into business gain.

4. Strategic assignment/Project implementation

· Assist Technical Service Manager to execute Internal (departmental/cross functional) or external Assignments/project to deliver maximum output.

· Plan & coordinate with internal/external stakeholder to identify challenges, find out probable solutions and execute to achieve project goal.

5. People development & Strategic marketing

· Designing and conducting internal technical training programs for different functional teams in the organization. Train internal team on product knowledge, thread usage & thread recommendation to ensure their confidence in technical selling.

· Conduct technical seminar, quick discussion sessions in assigned accounts to promote premium products.

6. New Product launch/Sales/Demand Forecast

· Coordinate on New product trial at customer end & identify internal/external challenges to sell or process in country level

7. Environmental Aspect

· Implementing all activity in their department in accordance with the environmental policy and developing corrective action plans with the ECCR when needed.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Minimum Bachelor's deEducationgree, preferably majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Textile/Leather, Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. from reputed public and private institute.

Skill:

  • Should have the ability to work with a diverse groups of people
  • Understand and recognize customer needs and possess the ability to build up long-term value-added partnership with customers
  • Should be a good team player and an excellent negotiator
  • Excellent persuasion skill & a go-getter
  • Good technical knowledge & know how on apparel business.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to understand challenges.
  • Self-starter with good communication skills
  • Proficiency in English both speaking and writing.
  • Self-motivated and eager for improvements.
  • Strong initiatives, able to set the planning and priorities, and complete the task independently.

Experience:

  • 5-7 years' experience preferably in readymade garments industry
  • Prior experience in apparel manufacturing / QA / Technical.
  • Prior working experience in technical or technical sales in another leading supplier, e.g.: sewing machine or needle supplier, etc.
  • Prior working experience in the sewing mechanics.
