Job Title: Financial Controller

Reports to: Country GM Indonesia & Functional reporting to Director International Finance/Accounting (Thailand HQ)
General Responsibilities:
- FC is responsible for overseeing financial performance of the business as well as the accounting departments including, but not limited to, on time delivery and review of financial statements, budget & other finance reports (e.g. forecasts, critical date checklists, management contract compliance & financial feasibilities), monthly balance sheet reconciliations & supporting other finance operations.
- Constructively review each business/brand performance for monthly performance review and drive follow up action points to positive conclusion.
- Lead the financial inputs into the formulation and implementation of the Business Strategic Plans and Budgets, and any other key strategic planning exercises. Also ensure execution of all such plans.
- Conduct monthly planning and forecasting of capex, ensuring the capex process is followed and prepare the necessary backup to facilitate efficient approval.
- Directly responsibility for setting up accounting functions, including but not limited to, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Payroll & Ad Hoc financial needs.
- Establish robust internal controls for all revenues and expenses and protection of assets. Strive to operate as a centre of excellence for internal controls & systems automation & lead in standardising financial best practice.
- Conduct formal operational finance review monthly, reporting findings to Market GM and Director International Finance/Accounting.
- Coordinate and own all finance related matters relating to the business, including treasury management, leasehold, taxation and statutory matters, ensuring full compliance with Indonesian law and timely resolution & action of finance tasks.
- Maintaining accurate and timely financial and operating information and provide analysis, interpretations, and recommendations to the Market GM. Conduct ongoing benchmark analysis to ensure we drive maximum performance.
- Maximise cash flow performance of the business.
- Agree and maintain a Delegation of Authority matrix for business approval process of POs, capex, systems changes, contract sign off, banking matters etc.
- Be responsible for the professional development of the finance team. Ensure the performance appraisal process and career development plans are managed to deliver strong financial performance by the finance team members.
- Proactively keep up to date on industry & technical accounting, finance & taxation matters.
Qualifications
- At least a bachelors degree in accounting/finance. Masters and CPA is a plus
- At least 7-10 years in accounting/financial role at a senior level. Experience in F&B, food service, hotel or retail industry would be advantageous.
