Position Overview: The Commercial and Retail Director is a key leadership role within the property development company, responsible for driving the strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance of the company's commercial and retail assets. The role involves overseeing the development, leasing, marketing, and management of retail and commercial properties to maximize revenue and enhance brand value.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for the development, leasing, and management of commercial and retail properties.
    • Identify market trends and opportunities to position the company's properties competitively.
  2. Business Development:

    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, tenants, and partners.
    • Lead negotiations for major commercial and retail leasing agreements.
    • Drive tenant acquisition strategies to attract high-profile and complementary brands.
  3. Property Development and Management:

    • Oversee the planning and execution of retail and commercial property projects, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and standards.
    • Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely delivery of developments within budget.
    • Monitor the performance of existing properties and implement strategies to improve profitability.
  4. Financial Management:

    • Set and achieve revenue targets for commercial and retail portfolios.
    • Develop and manage budgets for operations, marketing, and development projects.
    • Analyze financial performance and generate reports for senior management.
  5. Marketing and Branding:

    • Oversee the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns to promote properties.
    • Ensure properties are branded and positioned effectively to attract target audiences.
    • Monitor and respond to customer and tenant feedback to enhance service quality.
  6. Leadership and Team Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial and retail team to achieve organizational goals.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field. A masters degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in commercial and retail property management, leasing, or development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of the real estate and retail industry, including market trends and customer behavior.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Proficiency in property management software and tools.
