Business Development Manager (Marine)
Job Description:
Purpose
The Business Development Managers role will be to identify, win & develop business opportunities within Indonesia. The position will be based in Jakarta, with domestic travel required. Personnel must also collaborate closely with the regional commercial team to drive business development opportunities.
Should focus on upcoming projects within the following business sectors with strong acumen in Marine Services (Agency, Crew Handling, Marine Offshore operations):
- O&G
- Infrastructure
- Subsea Cables
- Renewables
- Dredging
Services promoted to the customers will be relating to offshore vessel support, crew related matters, logistics support services & technical services such as equipment rental, fabrication, repair & maintenance services.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with the General Manager, Senior BD Manager & Regional BD team to strategize, build & develop relationships with customers. With a view to establishing a strong pipeline within the assigned business sectors.
- In conjunction with IL colleagues, works across the network to develop opportunities in the assigned business sectors.
- Create pipeline of customers and upsell business with existing customers & make presentations. Update the internal CRM system- Port360.
- For new accounts, ensure registration of respective BLA entity is performed and submitted.
- Collaborates with bidding team. Ensuring all RFQ, tenders & quotations are professionally presented & on time.
- Ensures ILs contractual risks are always protected. Customers credit terms and outstanding payables are as per the contracted terms agreed.
- Upon contract award, seeks to handover all commercial aspects to the relating operations manager for job execution.
- Annually provides budgeting & business plans to be in conjunction with the regional BD team
- When required must organize, plan & travel across Indonesia or potentially abroad.
- Responsible for identifying suitable candidates & leading a business development team.
- Builds & develops relationships with multiple stakeholders across Indonesia. These could include ports, immigration, customs, & internal colleagues
Requirements & Qualifications
- Preferred to hold a degree in a business or marketing related subject.

Experience
- Must have minimum 5 years' experience working within the offshore, oilfield sales or business development.
- Experience in engaging commercially with O&G industry players previously is a must for this role.
Knowledge
- Must have a good working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, MS Project.
