Area Manager - Mining Service - Balikpapan

 Job Description:

  1. CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure that the customer receives the full benefits of the Supply and Services Contract and ensure the added value to the mining operation through delivery of correct product and adequate maintenance of the Plant and Charging Unit(s) to deliver performance and efficiency in blasting.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    1. Safety, Health and Environment
      1. Adhere to all company regulations, procedures and guidelines, covered in the company standards.
      2. Comply with all requirements stated on, Act UU 13/2003 regarding Manpower, Act UU 01/1970 regarding Occupational Safety, Act 32/2009 regarding Environment and other related regulation mentioned in Indonesia Legal Data Base.
      3. Assist in controlling the impact of operations on the environment by managing waste and ensuring compliance with the principles contained in the environmental policy.
      4. Comply with Decree of the Minister of Mines and Energy No. 555.K/26/M.PE/1995.
      5. Responsible for the safety of every worker under his/her supervision.
      6. Carry out inspection, examinations and testing.
      7. Be responsible for the safety, health and welfare of every person assigned to him/her.

  1. Quality
    1. Ensure Quality, understood and demonstrated when performing duties and become a role model of this Quality Ethos.
    2. Comply, Quality Policy and all relevant quality plans, instructions, procedures and standards at all times.
    3. Manage and improve the implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) for the department/site:
      1. Conduct self-audit for the department/site to ensure compliance with the QMS Company Standards.
      2. Regularly review the implementation of QMS for the department/site through a monthly meeting and ensure actions are captured in the minutes of meeting and the minutes are kept as per the document control procedure.
      3. Where applicable, quality plans are available and implemented for work processes under direct responsibility.
      4. Implement department/site Quality scorecard.
      5. Provide accurate and timely information and reports with regard to the Global Quality Scorecard achievement and for the Quality Management System Review purpose.
      6. Responsible for Quality of product delivered.
      7. Responsible for delivery of quality services.
      8. OTIF requirements by charging Unit(s) in line with customers KPI.
      9. Quality control of products and setting of procedures and methods pertaining to products.

  1. People Development
    1. Ensure team members acquire all of the required mandatory skills/training as indicated in the skills/training matrix to ensure their safety & competence in performing their duties.
    2. Provide resources necessary for employees to achieve skills/competencies as indicated in the skills/training matrix and Training Gap Analysis (TGA).
    3. Identify potential successors for critical roles within owns department/site and ensure development plans are created and implemented.

  1. Operational
    1. To ensure company SHE Standards, Systems and Procedures are implemented and complied within applicable areas of control. Ensure quality safety plans for employees are in place and aligned with mine safety systems and procedures.
    2. To effectively manage all site personnel.
    3. To ensure that the parameters set by the performance contract (KPIs) and continuously measured and monitored with the objective of profitability and a long-term sustainability.
    4. To ensure that customer needs are satisfied by the deployment of safe, cost effective and satisfactory operations, and ensure that the appropriate standards, systems and procedures are implemented.
      1. To efficiently and effectively manage the equipment performance and running costs.
      2. To seek opportunities to maximize production and take advantage of expansion opportunities where appropriate with existing customer.
      3. Keep up to date in new developments and provide assistance for new improvements.
      4. Manage and control fixed and operating costs within an agreed budget or objective.
      5. Responsible for training and development of subordinates and relevant customer personnel, ensuring that the customer develops a thorough understanding of emulsions and the maintenance and operation of the system.
      6. Implementation and /or maintenance of the world class system.
      7. Proactively communicate with internal related functional management.


QUALIFICATION AND EXPERTISE REQUIRED

  1. Education, Experience, Certificate:

Bachelor's degree Mining Engineering, sufficiently mature with a minimum of 8years experience.

  1. General Driving License.
  2. Letter of No Criminal Record from Police (Valid SKCK).
  3. Able to proficiently speak and write in English.
  4. Good communication skills, in English and Bahasa Indonesia, as the incumbent is required to communicate to management level.
  5. Technical knowledge.
  6. Computer literacy.
  7. Hold blaster competency (KJL) & able to obtain KIM.
  8. Hold valid POP to obtain POM certification.
  9. Hold a driver's license; heavy vehicle would be an advantage
