Director of Food Business (F&B)

 Job Description:

The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the food and beverage operations within the organization. This role involves strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership to ensure exceptional guest experiences and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in F&B management, a passion for service excellence, and a proven ability to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning and Management:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the food and beverage department to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align F&B strategies with overall business goals.
  • Monitor market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

2. Operational Oversight:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets, ensuring high standards of service, quality, and cleanliness.
  • Oversee menu development, including planning, pricing, and presentation to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies.

3. Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets for the F&B department, including cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and manage inventory to optimize costs and quality.

4. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the F&B team to deliver exceptional service and achieve performance goals.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional growth.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.

5. Guest Experience:

  • Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by addressing feedback, resolving complaints, and continuously improving service standards.
  • Create and maintain a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere in all F&B outlets.
  • Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure consistent product and service excellence.

6. Marketing and Promotions:

  • Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to drive traffic and increase sales.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and special events.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing efforts to assess effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in food and beverage management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Skills:
    • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
    • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
