As the General Manager of Sales, you will be responsible for leading your sales team by creating sales strategy, identifying new market opportunities, and developing strategic partnerships to achieve sales targets. You will oversee the sales team performance, provide coaching and mentorship, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve the revenue target.
- Periodically analyze market trends and identify new market opportunities, including but not limited to expanding product mix, supplier network, geographical sales region.
- Develop and maintain strategic connections with mid-to-high level executives in customer and or potential customer.
- Manage sales team by tracking sales performance, providing coaching and mentorship and guidance to achieve target.
- Develop sales team by hiring new talent with complimentary skillset for existing or new customers.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues or complaints.
- Prepare sales reports and present to the management on a periodic basis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in chemical/chemical engineering.
- Experience as a Sales and Marketing Manager (or higher) in retail industry with proven success in implementing the sales strategy. Experience in trading or chemical distributor industry
- Proven leadership and management experience (10+ years and 10+ people).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Analytical mindset and data-driven approach.
- Customer-focused and ability to build strong relationships.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM related software.
- Can bring database of customer and vendor information for various types of chemicals / products
