Project Cost Engineer
Job Description:
The Cost Control Engineer will monitor total project expenditure including verifying and checking invoices and claims to ensure that all project expenditure is properly recorded:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide cost control support for the project which includes variation reporting, milestone progress monitoring to preparation of billing processes etc,

- Calculate, monitor and control the volume of work, material requirements, wages and project operating costs at the beginning of the project for making project plans.
- Conduct technical and commercial review of long term tenders (subcontractor bids) for preparation of Service agreements
- Ensure effective project implementation and utilize productive reports by using the project management system to monitor the status of all purchases, invoicing and deliveries until project closure.
- Coordinate and work closely with the project management team to resolve project issues to ensure delivery/completion of project work.
- Conduct project cost related reporting to the team and management review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditure is within the project budget.
- Provide cost control to internal PMT team if required.
- Carry out other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with specialization in Project Management or Cost Control related training.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in cost control.
- Knowledge of (EVM) Earned Value Management System.
- Technically strong in project cost planning, scheduling and reporting.
- Knowledge in the use of MS Project, Primavera Scheduling and SAP software is highly advantageous.
- Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Work location at North Sumatra area.
