Mechanical Engineering (ME)
Job Description:
Role Purpose
Responsible for running and manage all maintenance and engineering at Mechanical Utility effectively in accordance with all Company standard (safety, code of conduct, code of ethic, etc.)
- Responsible to define, implement and manage all mechanical part of utility (Boiler, Generator, distribution panel, compressor, WTP, WWTP, lighting system, building electrical & mechanical part, AC) and support tools/machines maintenance activities in order to support manufacturing to operate smoothly and deliver high quality product, high productivity and agreed standard cost. Job holder must put necessary action or anticipation to avoid manufacturing process stoppage.
- Ensure the availability and reliability of all equipment, tools and area which are required for manufacturing process are on clean condition, ready to use and appropriate quantity. Also responsible to assist manufacturing to provide tools/equipment/machine to perform the job or improve the performance.
- Responsible to maintain low wastage, improve all resources efficiency, maintain housekeeping mechanism and promote positive working environment including taking disciplinary action
- Responsible to ensure all maintenance team to work as per Company standard, SOP/WI, put all effort to minimize the risk or accident and promote safe practice
- Responsible to manage all spare part, consumables and energy usage and stock in efficient manner in accordance to Company global nomination/specification/CSRL
- Report and review maintenance performance, downtime, energy usage in monthly base.
- Participate to other event/task/project/initiative which run in company as per direct report advice.
- Conduct Safety Policy
- Using PPE as requirement
- Conduct risk assessment in working & workshop area Activities
- Make sure to complement the safety check point in Work Instruction.
- Follow up working permit related with safety standard including LOTO implementation
- Follow up 5S implementation at working area
9. Overseeing all activity within their team complies with the environmental policy and reviewing reports for further improvement
Authorities
- Approve maintenance schedules and updates to utility systems and equipment standards.
- Validate SOP/WI adherence and approve disciplinary actions within the maintenance team.
- Approve maintenance performance reports and improvement plans
General Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/Electrical engineering
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Experience in managing teams and coordinating daily operations
- Familiar with preventive and corrective maintenance practices
- Good understanding of safety standards and compliance (HSE)
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and leadership abilities
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD) is an advantage
- Willing to work in shifts and handle operational challenges
