Accounting Specialist

 Job Description:

Position TitleAccounting Analyst

Point of Assignment: Site-Luwuk

Work Schedule: Normal Working Schedule (Monday to Friday)

Basic Function: Perform the daily management and financial accounting activities in accurate and timely manners and in compliance with the Indonesian Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP) and prevailing policies and regulations.

Main Accountabilities: Perform day-to-day accounting transactions effectively, timely, accurately, and completely in accordance with finance policies and GAAP.

  • Receive and verify invoices against supporting documents (contracts, requisitions, and goods/services receiving reports) to ensure compliance with regulations and laws
  • Prepare journal entries for all transactions and monitor the daily interface of goods received data from the material maintenance system (INFOR) to the financial system.
  • Prepare, issue, and send sales invoices for LNG and Condensate to customers, issue Debit/Credit Notes for settlements, and manage back-charge invoices to Shareholders.
  • Coordinate with relevant Directorates to reconcile accounts, provide listings of outstanding items/amortization/revaluation, and manage the finalization of monthly closing listings to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Provide accurate and valid data, information, and relevant documents to both internal and external auditors during financial audits.
  • Coordinate and participate in physical observations and checks for fixed assets and spare parts with business owners/warehouse teams.
  • Perform interfacing of payment data from the banking system to the financial accounting system and ensure reconciliation to bank statements
  • Provide simple tax advice on site transactions, manage cash collection from site personnel's advance settlements, and maintain the financial filing system between the site and Jakarta.
  • Provide recommendations to improve current accounting processes and assist in updating company procedures to comply with the latest laws and regulations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, General Ledger, Account Reconciliation, or related accounting functions.
  • Familiar with Indonesian GAAP, accounting principles, and financial closing processes.
  • Experience in Fixed Asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, asset reconciliation, and physical asset verification.
  • Familiar with SAP ERP system, particularly Accounting and Fixed Asset modules.
  • Experience in journal entries, account reconciliation, invoice verification, and month-end closing activities.
  • Knowledge of financial audit requirements, internal controls, and accounting compliance.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting-related applications.
