Horizon Tech is looking for a skilled and experienced Shopify Developer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who has worked on software-based e-commerce products, actively participates in product demonstrations and deployment, and confidently handles technical discussions with US-based clients.

You will play a key role in designing, developing, maintaining, and presenting Shopify-powered solutions, with a strong focus on Hydrogen & Oxygen front-end principles and high-performance user experiences.

Key Responsibility:

• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes aligned with Hydrogen & Oxygen design principles.
• Build clean, scalable, and high-performing front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern best practices.
• Customize Shopify templates, sections, and blocks to meet product and business requirements.
• Work on software-based Shopify products, including reusable components, feature enhancements, and ongoing improvements.
• Participate in technical meetings and product demonstrations with US-based clients, explaining features, workflows, and technical decisions.
• Collaborate closely with designers, backend developers, and product teams to deliver complete end-to-end solutions.
• Integrate and enhance e-commerce features such as product catalogs, carts, checkout flows, payment gateways, and inventory systems.
• Ensure responsive, mobile-first designs across all screen sizes.
• Conduct testing and debugging to ensure performance, usability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Optimize front-end performance to improve page load speed and overall UX.
• Use Git/version control for collaboration and code management.
• Maintain clear documentation for product features, customizations, and implementation

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelors degree / Diploma / Certification in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Shopify theme and product development.
• Strong command of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify ecosystem.
• Solid understanding of Hydrogen & Oxygen and modern front-end architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify Liquid.
• Experience working on software products rather than only single-store projects.
• Ability to confidently present products, give demos, and explain technical concepts to clients.
• Good communication skills for a US-based client-facing role.
• Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
• E-commerce experience is a strong plus.
