Horizon Tech is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Python Developer – Data Automation to design, develop, and deploy Windows-based automation solutions for complex business processes.The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python programming, advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and data analysis, with the ability to transform large datasets into automated workflows and user-friendly desktop applications.

The role involves working with large healthcare, financial, and operational datasets to automate repetitive tasks, improve data accuracy, generate reports, and streamline business operations. Each project will be delivered as a standalone Windows application that can be used by non-technical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Python-based automation solutions for business operations.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code.
• Develop Windows desktop executables for end users without requiring Python installation.
• Package applications with desktop shortcuts/icons for easy daily use.
• Automate data cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and transformation.
• Process large Excel, CSV, and other structured datasets.
• Analyze business data and generate actionable insights.
• Build reusable automation tools for recurring operational tasks.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI / Tableau and Microsoft Excel.
• Create configuration files where required to support application flexibility.
• Implement robust error handling and logging mechanisms.
• Prepare sample test files for validation and user acceptance testing.
• Produce comprehensive technical and user documentation for each project.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand workflow requirements and translate them into automation solutions.
• Optimize application performance and maintain existing automation tools.

1. Project Workflow:

• Review sample datasets provided by stakeholders.
• Understand business logic, workflow, and decision criteria.
• Design and develop the required automation solution.
• Support testing and validation of results.
• Implement revisions based on user feedback.
• Deliver the final Windows application along with all required documentation.

• Experience working with large datasets and advanced Excel.
• Experience with healthcare or financial data is highly preferred.

Additional Skills:
