Horizon Tech is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Prepress Graphic Designer to join our creative team. You'll be working directly with our Senior Graphic Designer to produce high-quality designs for print and digital projects that support our company, design team and owners.

Position Overview:

To ensure success, you will have to conceptualize visual designs for printing such as brochures, postcards, magazines, flyers, business cards, and a range of other promotional marketing materials. Prepare product and asset mockups to support an efficient workflow, create the final designs for printing and ensure that the dimensions and technical specifications are suitable for printing or digital. This role requires strong technical skills, creativity, and the ability to create multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for strong design skills demonstrated through your portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to work on design templates that were already created by the design team and make edits monthly or as needed.
• Creating engaging and on-brand designs for both print and digital media (e.g., monthly magazines, window graphics, signage, print campaigns and ads).
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Self-motivated and reliable in a remote work environment.
• Excellent time-management skills. You should be able to juggle multiple tasks daily to ensure deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Prepare print-ready and digital-ready files with attention to layout, typography, color, and proper bleed when needed.
• Rendering and presenting design mockups for revision and feedback.
• Edit, retouch, and prepare images as needed.
• Ability to create product mockups and templates to support an efficient workflow.
• Maintain well-organized project files and assets for easy access and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with Clickup.
• Solid understanding of branding principles and visual consistency.
• Ensure designs with correct and consistent use of logos and branding in all materials, in line with Brand Identity Guide.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of professional graphic design experience; preferred 4-5 years.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work (print and digital).
• Excellent understanding of layout, typography, and color theory.
• Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
• Knowledge of print production processes and digital file preparation.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ensure all design files are properly labeled, structured, and archived according to the company standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ensure consistent and proper use of company logos and brand assets across all projects.
  

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Canva or other quick-turn design tools.
• Experience with variable data printing using Adobe InDesign.
• Formal degree a plus but not required.
