Job Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Wine Expert with a WSET Level 2 certification to join our premium alcoholic beverage company. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of wines, including varietals, regions, and pairing recommendations, with a strong focus on customer engagement and sales.
The successful candidate will play a key role in providing expert advice to customers, curating a premium wine experience, and driving sales within the luxury market. Experience in retail, hospitality, or fine dining is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in international wines.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert advice to clients on wine selection, including varietals, regions, and food pairings.

Educate customers and staff on wine profiles, tasting notes, and serving recommendations.

Develop and implement strategies to drive wine sales and enhance the customer experience.

Manage and maintain the wine inventory, ensuring stock levels meet customer demand.

Conduct private tastings and wine pairing events for high-profile clients and VIPs.

Stay updated on wine trends, industry news, and emerging markets to adjust product offerings and recommendations accordingly.

Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to promote wine products and create targeted campaigns.

Monitor customer preferences and sales performance to identify opportunities for product enhancements and promotional strategies.

Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and internal quality standards.

Build and maintain strong relationships with wine suppliers, distributors, and industry professionals.

Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to wine products professionally and efficiently.
Qualifications:

Must hold a WSET Level 2 certification (WSET Level 3 preferred).

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail, hospitality, or fine dining setting with a focus on wine.

Strong knowledge of international wines, including regions, varietals, and production techniques.

Proven experience in providing premium customer service and driving sales.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and educate clients.

Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
